New York Style Pizza

When we went to Cebu we didn't forget to visit Handuraw, a Cebuano word for the "power to imagine". The place was located in an old house with good lightings. The food was great. My uncle who is an American even quoted the pizza as  "New York Style Pizza".

Handuraw's special...I rate it 5 out of 5, taste soo good.

     Chili Chips :)

   Potato Jojo  :)

I have also tasted their ice cream cake and it was  thumbs up!  Hope I can eat there again..too bad its only  located in Cebu and Manila.

white sand beach

Guimaras Island known for their off-white sand and beautiful beaches. Far from the crowded and noisy streets of Iloilo. A place you could relax and have a good time with family and friends. This place became special to me since it's filled with good memories. My uncle loved this place so much that he brings us whenever he wants to go there.

Whenever we went to Guimaras we usually stayed at Villa Igang. Such a great place to relax.

this place has many beautiful spots..all in one place

Villa Igang is actually surrounded by rocks.

SWEET TREAT: Nothing but desserts

If  your craving for desserts, this is the place to be. Filled with different treats from macaroons, panna cotta, cakes to gelato. You'll be having a hard time choosing which satisfies you. The ambiance is also nice as it faces other bars and restaurants around Smallville. A place to hang-out with friends while enjoying the delicious treats.

This treats looks yummy and taste delicious, indeed it is. I really loved the Pistachio macaroon. On the left side, it is Tiramisu and the one place in the pink platter is Creme Brulee. And on the right side, I forgot the name.

Discovering Queen City of the South

I remember the first time I went to Cebu it was back 1997. We went to TOPS where you can able to hold a tiger and pose for a picture. Cool. But that time I haven't really enjoy the city since I was young and innocent. Until we came back there this year to attend the blessing of my uncle's house. I was really amazed with the transformation of the place. It was just like Manila with tall buildings. I really loved staying there it was just like your part of the changing world and evolution of technology. But I haven't experienced the night life there. Hopefully next time my stay there would be much more awesome.

These people are called "Badjao", whenever there will be a ship docking they will lay out their cloth to catch coins from passengers or they will swim it when thrown to the water.

Usually you will see there buildings with architectural designs.

This was in Mactan known for its sandy beaches and good diving spots located opposite of Cebu City. And is    well known for producing guitars.

As you can see the outline of many hills at far end, it is already Bohol known for its "Chocolate Hills".

This was in Ayala Mall. We were just in time for Phil. Azkals Mall Tour. Loved it.

Getting to know NEIL ETHERIDGE

Neil Etheridge is one of the players of Philippine Azkals. Azkals are known to be the pride of Philippine football. Football may not be the number one sport of Pinoys but now it is the most watched game. The main reason is that, most of the players are good looking and they played really good. Let's start getting to know one of them...

Neil Leonard Dula Etheridge

Age: 20

Birthday: Feb. 7, 1990

Birthplace: Enfield, England

Dating status: Single

Position: Goalkeeper

Describe yourself in one sentence. Fun, exciting, chilled out, social and loud with an open experimental attitude, willing to listen and learn and to give advice to others.

What do you do when you’re not playing football? Shopping, seeing my friends, PlayStation, and eating! (Laughs).

What’s the most unique thing about you? I have an obsession with looking at my phone and contacting everyone at all times, but in the Philippines, this seems like a common thing, so maybe it’s just me. (Laughs).

What’s the sweetest thing a girl has ever done for you? I think the sweetest thing a girl has ever done for me was to surprise me. She told me that we were going to dinner, then the next thing I knew I was watching a live concert, with a late meal.

What’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever done for a girl? I think it would have to be taking her shopping, buying her clothes and some jewelry, then after, a romantic candlelit dinner along the river.

How to make a Choco Mousse

I always loved eating Choco Mousse, it's maybe because of the consistency or I'm just a chocoholic. Everytime I would go to a cake shop I would prefer to order it. Then one time me and my twin decided if we could try making it by ourselves. And yes! it was easy, delicious and yummy. Now we don't need to buy if  we feel we need to eat one. Instead we'll just make it on our own, in that way we can learn how to make and we can be proud that we are the ones who made it.

 Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) unsalted butter, diced
  • 2 tablespoons very strong coffee
  • 1 cup cold heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Method

1 Whip the cream to soft peaks, then refrigerate.
2 Combine the chocolate, butter, and coffee in the top of a double boiler over hot, but not simmering, water, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from the heat and let cool until the chocolate is just slightly warmer than body temperature. To test, dab some chocolate on your bottom lip. It should feel warm. If it is too cool, the mixture will seize when the other ingredients are added.
3 Once the melted chocolate has cooled slightly, whip the egg whites in a medium bowl until they are foamy and beginning to hold a shape. Sprinkle in the sugar and beat until soft peaks form.
4 When the chocolate has reached the proper temperature, stir in the yolks. Gently stir in about one-third of the whipped cream. Fold in half the whites just until incorporated, then fold in the remaining whites, and finally the remaining whipped cream.
5 Spoon or pipe the mousse into a serving bowl or individual dishes.Refrigerate for at least 8 hours. (The mousse can be refrigerated for up to a day.)

Serves 5-8, depending on the size of the servings.

Cooked to Perfection

I really admire my uncle Paul for being such a great cook.My uncle is a retired US navy who is married to my beautiful aunt and stayed here in the Philippines for good.He hadn't taken any culinary course but yet his dishes are just great.Cooked to perfection and tasted like your just in a five star restaurant. What makes his dishes delicious is that he uses real and the best ingredients. And of course added with his passion for cooking for his big loving family. His main dishes are usually lasagna, mashed potato, spaghetti. And then sometimes he makes meatloaf and tacos. Here are some of his dishes...

If this is a book this would be the "Bestseller"..this is the best lasagna I have ever tasted. What I like about his lasagna is that it is not commercialized like what you have tasted on restaurants. It's just perfect.

the best spaghetti I have tasted so far

In love with Nails

My first inspiration for doing nail arts is my cousin (Christine). That time I was so amazed with how great she put nail arts on our nails. Almost all of our girl cousins enjoyed that time. My second inspiration was Julieg713. I loved watching her videos in Youtube especially about make-up. And then I discover that she has nail art tutorials. So I watch and enjoyed those videos until I get to try it on my nails. Then that was the time I get addicted with nail arts.

These two pictures from Julieg713 are my most favorite. I loved wearing these designs.

Easiest design I've tried on my nails.

M&M's are a cool inspiration for a nail art

This is one of my favorite. I always loved wearing this pink leopard design.
